The Architecture of 20th Century

The issues discussed include reactions and responses to modernism, re-evaluations of history, universalism and regionalism, utopias and anti-utopias. While the focus is on European and American architecture, developments in other parts of the world are also introduced.

Past Teaching

Constructing the "non-western"

An exploration of the "construct of non-western" in architectural and urban practices. A course that is theory based and case study supported.

MIP Studio - "Open City" and "Community"

Research associate for a studio in MIP program, focusing on mapping and narrating communities and developing strategies and interventions. The studio work is published as a book available through Lulu Publishing. The work will be exhibited at Rotterdam Architecture Biennale in 2009.
